hello...

I was on H1.. but i quit my job and i am currently enrolled as a Full time student.
I need to go to Mexico as part of my Study program....

I have received the change of status from USCIS..but i need to get my passport stamped..

I have not been successful in getting an appointment in Canada....

>> Can i go to mexico and get the visa stamped during my stay there..is it risky???

>> i cam here on F1-h1-now back to F1.... do i have to go to my country of origin to get my visa stamped.

Pew confirms what we've already assumed is happening. The number of illegally present immigrants has dropped 8% since 2007. The number is now about 11 million, down from peaking at 12 million. The annual migration of illegally present immigrants has dropped from about 850,000 a year a few years ago to just 300,000 a year today. Why? My wife is planning to travel overseas for 3 months and return on AP. Her status is AoS(dependent) as she quit working on H1 a few months ago. Any experience using AP for such long stays outside the country? Please share your experiences.

My employer says that he is going to run the taxes from the state where the company is located and not from the state where I'm actually working.
Says something changed on the company's front and the CPA advised that there won't be any problem .He's giving me all kinds of reasons about how he can't run the taxes from my state and says there won't be any problem in 485 stage.

If called for the 485 interview we may have to bring our pay stubs to the interview .In that case would there be any problem with this scenario.?

By the way the address I have on file for all my applications is another state (different from where I'm living and where my company is located).(If) called for an interview I guess it will be in the state which is on my applications . Does any one know if I'm right?

Please let me know if this fine.

New numbers are out on H-1B usage and the past week showed a substantial pickup in usage with more than 1700 numbers counted against the cap of 65,000. 36,600 H-1Bs have been counted now. I'm moving my exhaustion projection date up about two weeks. My target is based on a rolling four week usage average so variations from week to week are discounted. Hi,

I saw that my 485 status was updated twice.

FP done on - Oct 24, 485 LUD was 24 Oct.
Nov 3 - one more LUD on 485 app for me and spouse.

: BEC LC cleared on June 21, PD march 2001, I 140 + 485 filed on July 2 for me and spouse.

What do you make out of the two LUDs in less than 2 weeks ?.

My I 140 is still pending. (EB2 Category)

Hi Gurus,

Request your help on my query. I am on H1B with an I 797 valid upto 29-Jan-2011 and dependants have stamped H4 visas valid upto 29-Jan-2011. My company is in the process of applying for my H1B extension (this will be my second extension and i have currently completed 4 yrs 9 months in US).

My dependants are planning to travel to India at the end of this month and plan to return back by end of Nov. Will they face any issues during their return at POE ?

Will there be any complications with our visa extensions ?

Appreciate your response at the earliest.

Please let me know where can I book an appointment for H1B visa extension stamping in Canada and/or Mexico.
Also if you have recently been there for stamping then please share your experience.
