Pew confirms what we've already assumed is happening. The number of illegally present immigrants has dropped 8% since 2007. The number is now about 11 million, down from peaking at 12 million. The annual migration of illegally present immigrants has dropped from about 850,000 a year a few years ago to just 300,000 a year today. Why? I and my wife are on h1. I want to come on her h4. She recently applied for h1 extension as her employer is nonprofit org and has some policies of his own, he files every year. She filled in may�09 and got receipt number, as the case is still pending who we can apply for h4 now. Is there any way around to apply for my h4 while the case is still pending?

USCIS continues to accept cap-subject petitions.

Friends,
I am starting this thread for the people who are Greencard Holders and not married. Please share some thoughts for bringing their spouse here.
IV can help in this matter.
If all visa holders and citizens can bring their spouse instantly then why GC holder have to wait for many years after getting GC after many years.

Priority Date: Sep 2004
Status: Labor & I-140 approved
EB2: Labor got approved November 2009.
I'm trying to file 1-140 amendment with EB3 priority date. Currently i'm thinking of going with Sheela Murthy/Rajiv Khanna,
could you please suggest some good attorney who can handle my case very well in a limited time? Thanks a lot and really
appreciate your help.

I am in EB3 with Labor and I-140 approved, I-485 in process, and have EAD/AP. If I switch employers and take up a new role (different from the one GC application is based on), and not file AC21 (because that's not applicable when switching job roles), should I continue to stay mum hoping to not receive a RFE for EVL and get a GC by mail silently someday or request new employer to file a new EB2 perm and preserve the old (2002) priority date?
In case I go with the former, and end up receiving a RFE, can I explain my true status and go for the latter at that point? What are the chances that one will receive an RFE for Employment verification for a case that has been pending for 7 years, and I-485 pending for 3 years?
Any personal experiences and guidance will greatly help me. Thank you!

I think you have the wrong information. Senate is not ready to vote on it yet. S 2198 which is a part of PACE and holds relevance to the employment based immigration is still in committee hearings.

Hi all,
I have been fortunate enough to get one step closer to a green card.
I need to fill out form 230 and Line 25 asks to list all visits to or residence in the US.
I have been living in the US for the past 7.5 years. Can I just list my residences and corresponding visas or do I have to list all visits? :confused:
I have a fair number of visits, as I have been travelling both for work and leisure in the past few years. I have most of the entry/exit stamps, but there are a few missing. So I am wondering if there will be a problem when I list the visits and some of the dates cannot be supported with passport stamps.
Can anyone please advise if listing my residence will suffice (although this is already requested in line 20)?
btw I got my notification June 4, EU00006xxx

I think you will have an option to apply for a H1 for the remainder of the six years without being counted in the quota...

While renewing, on the form, there are 2 questions:
14 Current Immigration Status
15 Manner of Last Entry
(both seem to have the same answer)
Any idea .. what I need to fill here?
