Received my stimulus package. I am H1-B waiting for 485.
Thread title extremely misleading. The rules are clearly stated of how to receive stimulus package. OP's wife is clearly not eligible. We are all frustrated about USCIS but let's be fair to respective parties and not slander the innocent.

It is not a good idea to buy property in India now ( at high prices )
You can see a 30 to 40% decline in prices in coming months/ years.
Wait and buy.
As far as loan , go with SBI or LIC home loans - slow in processing , but you can save lot .

All numbers available to these categories under the FY-2007 annual numerical limitation have been made available
simple means that
all visa number (for FY-2007) are used up. They were made available to USCIS by DoS.

I would recommend to shop around more. There are some banks who ask quetions such as visa status and other documentation and then there are some which don't. In my case; Citibank quoted for 0.5 additional rate due to my visa status but ING didn't.

I don't know much about the process, I just came to America less than 1 year back, but I know my lawyer was supposed to mail application to reach on July 2, 2007 instead he made a mistake to reach on June 29, 2007 because he said July 1, 2007 was a Sunday so he would rather be early than late. USCIS accepted and receipted me.
I am the manager in my brother's gas station in LA. He got a investor visa when he came from Punjab but now he is citizen. I am on EB3. I have Bachelors in Business Administration from Panjab University in Chandigarh. I can't be EB1 or EB2, I barely made it through college :D

thats true, You will not get red marks. Coz, everybody agrees with that. It is just some good news and hope for EB2. Otherwise, people will be left with no option but to move back to their home country's in current markets.

First I called my few freinds in MT, WY and RI. Passed on info them since they are local.
Then I called all of them . Now a days they do not even transfer to the right person who deals with Immigration issues. They just ask for the message and pass on to them .

See we can't work for bypassing "name check" process - we can work for improving the process !
