You started this thread saying that USCIS has a "deadline" for completing stuffs last Monday or last last Friday.... All of us trusted you that time - Could you please give us a responsible answer or status Update.

They open up the gate for all July filer, then closed it and then re-open it again when many protested. People started cursing logiclife when he posted about the FAQ4 to be released by friday and it didn't. But it did came after 2-3 days. So someone who shared that info with Core might have just said we are trying our best to come up with FAQ4 and will release it by Friday and core shared that info with everyone. But that doesn't mean that people should take that info as if it doesn't come on Friday, it will be the end of the world and core should loose his credibility. FAQ4 did came after couple of days and all those people who were cursing logiclife were no where to be seen.
If you put up a clause that no-one should share the info, unless you have a word from God, I guess we'll not have more than 2 or 3 threads here.
So guys..bottom line is stop fighting over what someone said or not, concentrate on what you are doing about it.
As someone rightly said, "Listen to all but do what you think is right". There is similar adage in hindi but I'm not using hindi so that everyone can understand it.

I took out a loan from HDFC last year in India. Their service was decent and their rates were also low. No prepayment penalty after 1 year. You can check your balances online and they now offer electronic payments also. ICICI has higher rates, so I wouldn't recommend. SBI requires lot of paperwork and processing time, so you should weigh this in before approaching them.

Congress could quickly add a zero to the number available, thereby boosting the U.S. economy and complicating matters for America's competitors.
Suppose a foreign government had a policy of sending workers to America to be trained in a sophisticated and highly remunerative skill at American taxpayers' expense, and then forced these workers to go home and compete against American companies. That is what we are doing because we are too generic in defining the immigrant pool.
Barack Obama and other Democrats are theatrically indignant about U.S. companies that locate operations outside the country. But one reason Microsoft opened a software development center in Vancouver is that Canadian immigration laws allow Microsoft to recruit skilled people it could not retain under U.S. immigration restrictions. Mr. Change We Can Believe In is not advocating the simple change -- that added zero -- and neither is Mr. Straight Talk.
John McCain's campaign Web site has a spare statement on "immigration reform" that says nothing about increasing America's intake of highly educated immigrants. I talked to my lawyer and she didn't mention about any kind of delay so can you please give me some more details about this PIM and how does it affect the whole process and slow things down.

scorion PIM process is a new additional step that is now part of visa stamping process. if you read around here you will find out more about it but in short uscis office in kentucy has to scan and upload all your supporting documents i.e employement letter etc that you might have used to get an H1 approval. The embassy you will visit for visa stamping has to review all the uploaded doc's before stamping your visa. Now I read in one of the thread here that someone in chennai has been stuck for over 3 to 4 weeks after their visa intvw just because the PIM process is not done. Hope this helps. I believe some top-level IV core members are EB3-I with PD 2003-04. So it is hard to believe that they are not worried watching "U" month after month and don't want to do anything about it. But as IV-Core they can not just do something for EB3-I. We need to find a way to fix this issue without creating another subgroup for EB3-I and take advantage of IV movement.

Between Fragoman, My Company and USCIS they sure are going to drive me nuts. I am waiting for green card for 10 years now with the same company. They are moving EB2 date and nothing gets done with EB3. On top of all these, 2 years from now, they will make all dates current which literally mean I will get my Green Card with a guy came here 10 months ago....

Since on 2nd July they said they will reject the AOS application, what if they would have done some rejection during that time, and by the time July filers get their application back, it is after 17th of August. In that circumstance, can you send the AOS application back arguing USCIS's mistake and ask them to take it back after 08/17 and would they take it back politely or reject it again.

It is good to know someone with PD Aug 2004 in EB3 from India is getting approval. This gives me confidence that there are not many people waiting in line when the doors open in Oct 2007 with new quota.:)

Marrying is like buying a company, you have a moral obligation to account for any liabilities she may have.
Understand, she may have been the sole income earner in India for her parents. It doesnot hurt for you to send say 200-300 dollars every month. 700 dollars every month from your check is not that big deal (350 for each family). Don't make it a long term solution.
You have filed 485, what stops your wife from getting a job here?? Does she want to stay at home, watch TV and enjoy life? if she thinks that way, let her know, if she wants to send money to her parents long term, she needs to get out of house, find a job
Your wife should also have the heart to not burden you with financial requests. If she can get a job here, she should. If she earns money, its her's and its upto her how she spends that. If you can afford to tell her that, do it.
These are somethings that you folks should have thought by now and discussed. If not, then you know now

Does PD exist just to be able to file I-485? Or as some members say, does it also play a role after filing I-485 for adjudication? Does CIS go by PD or RD when the visas are limited?
Let's say A has PD(Priority date) Dec 2004 and RD(Receipt Date) Jul 25 2007, and B has PD Mar 2007 and RD Jul 2 2007. Who would be adjudicated first?
If visa numbers are current for both of them, then its a matter of luck, whose application gets processed quickly and which guy's application reaches to the approval officer first. That time both have equal chance.
Ofcourse PD is considered for VISA numbers, not the RD. RD is good for portability issues like AC21/180 days rule. So B can switch jobs 23 days before A. Again that (180 days rule)also as per some lawyers isnt a hard n fast rule. Hope it helps.

Go back and look at the forum postings. There are much more amenable and practical suggestions made. This PD thing doesn't pass the basic test: was there a precedence or prior history, can it be done and does it lessen the time for one to apply for I-485 and GC. Does it reduce backlog?

Sorry to say this but i do not think EB3 India or any other Catagory will move much in this coming April 2009 Bulletin, Reason for this is if there was any possible movement then this would have atleast moved by 1 month in the past 4 months.
EB3 dates has not moved any further in the past few months and i don't think this will move any better before we see Bulletin for Sep 2009 as thats thier fisical year.
I hope you guys are right as you can see mine is dec 2001 EB3 India but have stoped dreaming.
Sorry if i have been any bitter to any of the guys here on the net

I agree GC makes a difference. If anyone as EAD thats as good as GC subject to your primany job not changing. So why not do side -business on EAD while your primary job is ON. Take it easy at job, dont overwork because without GC rarely people get promoted, if they are not extra-ordinary!
Going to XYZ place because of no GC does not make sense. If you have potential you can use it here on EAD not necessarily in another country!
