My case is not yet approved, I Filed on Aug 01 st, Vermont Service Center.
Can you really go for H1 stamping when you are coming back on AP.
As far as I know, you should not use H1 at port of entry while coming back, if you do that your green card will be aboundend. Gurus please currect.

Entire world is turning up against immigration. It is beyond individual/group control to lobby for changes in that area.
It is on the threshold of the time. Right now we as individuals still can make a decision to continue to be in US and wait it out or go back to our home country.
But if this trend continues, I am afraid, some new law will make that decision for us to send us all back. It is just around the corner. Worst part is we can't do a thing about that.
So want to blame anyone, blame your politicians of your native country for creating such a mess that people wanted to move to a different country.

Dear IV,
Its not about me. I am planning to do a flower or some campaign that all will agree upon in less than a week. We must do before the next bulletin comes out.
Is it possible for IV to send a very good number of flowers to the departments.
i believe IV leadership has mentioned many times that 'more visa numbers' is the only solution to this mess. Which can be only done by changes in law.When IV planned some thing for it (recapture bill phone call campaign) the participation was not great.
I wonder, every one running like headless chicken solves any thing.

I think we will see a renewed activity on IV forums in 2009. I still believe visa recapture bill like HR5882 has a good chance of getting passed. It may not get passed in this congress considering how few working days are left and presidential elections in November. But in 2009 the bill should gain new momentum with new congress and new president in office.
Also, by that time EB2 dates will be again retrogressed and those impatiently waiting for their approvals today will be back to support new action items. Please don't take this as spiteful wish against EB2, I'm EB2 myself! Just that I don't think everyone who is current now will get their GC before October 2008. For once I would be overjoyed if I'm wrong on this one :)
True, once the people realize that they are close to GC they forget all tasks and move on to the other forums (R2I or USC or whatever) there are very few who actually stay on and help add this to the fact that most of the EB3-I's got fed up with the nonsense going on (most were only looking for a sounding board to voice their dismay, instead they were reminded of the caste system). So EB2's stop working because their PD is current and EBs stop because there is little hope/chance/help. We can dissect the VB as much as we want, the fact of the matter is that EB3 as a whole and EB3 (india &China) in particular are screwed big time. There is hope in the Logfren bills but the congress seems to have other 'important' issues to discuss.
We should take the campaign to a new level move from individuals to involving groups and compaines. They have more money and power to make things move. EB3 & EB2 discussions will go on for ever, we can either decide to wallow in our sorrow or do something. Lets identify groups who can help us and write to them. I got a home loan last year through SunTrust on EAD without any issues. You would need to provide more documentation such as I-140 approval, I-1488 receipt copies. :)

I agree with you 100% but it is a separate issue and must be done. What USCIS suggested to DOS that has resulted in visa bulletin is unacceaptle.
They practically said to DOS, Big Brother, "I don't know" .
How can they not know how many people are standing in line. When you and I take infopass, they can tell your category and priority date and whether you name check is passed or not. How come then they are having difficulties in collecting this data and sending it to DOS.
In my opinion
(1) Community must unite
(2) People must come out of anonymity by providing true information
(3) People must walk the talk - just not open threads and keep discussing
(4) Efforts must be well organized - IV is a great organization - we have state chapters where people can organize themselves - helps us all to do things more effectively
The biggest issue is - everyone come here and open threads but it alll stops there - people join state chapters but do nothing - just want to get updates - and always blame IV for whatever happens and question IV and want to grill IV as to what IV is doing.

(4) Be committed

I doubt it, uscis used up 60k visas in one month just to make sure we dont get any ead, why in the world after doing all this nonsense would they accept our applications.
My lawyer told me that they are working on something to accept all applications which reached on july ... lets hope he is right.

Recently thru same employer I filed EB2 labor which got approved in Sept 2010. I have filed my I-140 under regular processing. I asked my attorney and he said as I already have one I-140 approved I should file this one under regular processing. USCIS might reject premium processing. Any advice.
My 6th year of H1-B is getting completed on Sept 2011.
Please suggest should I file my I-140 under premium processing? Should I try to convert it???

I consider FOIA is a multifold success. Not only we achieved milestone 1 of $5K, we were successful enough to wake up members to do something after long time. Why do you think the very same members were sleeping? I don't believe IV Core was not doing anything in last few months but members always felt that there is no plan of action from IV. There is nothing worst could happen to us just by disclosing our plan of actions in controlled way like:
1. <<ABC>> is preparing document for final data information.
2. <<XYZ>> is evaluating other options how we could retrieve this information.
3. <<DEF>> is understanding how FOIA works and how long it will take us to get data and what will be the best option to get it earlier.
4. <<MMM>> is working on funding drive for this.
There is no reason to hide even this kind of information. But if we do this, members understand what we are doing at high level.

I had to file two MTRs. I have spent everything from my pocket for the two MTRs.
